Disguised as local fishermen, a team of Australian and British soldiers and sailors carried out a raid on Japanese shipping at Keppel Harbour during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore in 1943. The mission, Operation Jaywick, was featured as a comic in the 1965 edition of The Victor Book for Boys. But what actually happened during the mission, and what were some of the creative liberties taken by the book?
