As long as five buses put together, Yip Yew Chong's "I Paint my Singapore" captures scenes of everyday life in Singapore during the 1970s and 80s. The artist went through great pains to ensure that the buildings, and even the people in his paintings, were historically accurate. Balancing artistic considerations with historical accuracy though, was no easy task.
