Inspired by the eponymous exhibition held at the National Library Singapore, Tales of the Malay World brings together not only early Malay manuscripts and lithographed books that are rarely seen in public, but also insightful commentaries by international scholars of Malay manuscripts, literature and printing. Featuring the National Library's own rich collection as well as selected items from The British Library, Leiden University Library, and the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, this publication marks the first time many of these treasures have been brought together in a single publication.
