Growing the Singapore and Southeast Asia Collection

Published in 1849, Hikayat Abdullah (Stories of Abdullah) was written by the Malay teacher and scholar Abdullah Abdul Kadir (Munsyi Abdullah). This copy even travelled overseas for an exhibition, Treasures from the World’s Great Libraries, at the National Library of Australia from 2001 to 2002. Collection of the National Library Singapore (call no. RRARE 959.503 ABD).
